Sydney, Australia---The Interconnect Technologies Forum (ITF) announced it was recently launched in Australia by the CEOs of six major printed circuit board manufacturers. The forum, formerly known as the Australian Printed Circuit Manufacturers' Association, changed its name to reflect the global trend in electronics. George Edwards, the chairman of ITF and CEO of Morris Productions, said that the new name was necessary to better reflect the nature of the industry, which has changed significantly in recent times. Edwards said that the industry must improve its competitiveness in a sector in which global forces dictate the rules of doing business. (Source: Australian Electronics Engineering)
