Marc Chason, James J.  Hickman, and Gene H. Weiner formed Quantum Solar Group (QSG) LLC to help members of the PWB, SMT, and electronic assembly industries and their suppliers of chemicals, materials, and equipment understand the burgeoning photovoltaic industry and the new commercial opportunities provided through variations of familiar processes and technologies. QSG’s founders will bring their 100-plus years of technical, management, marketing, and executive experience to bear in identifying new fabrication and assembly opportunities as well as expanding the application of existing equipment and consumable supplies. QSG will also identify the needs for new and modified assembly processes as well as new chemicals and materials including quantum dots, nanoparticles, and print electronics to meet the rapidly shifting technology trends resulting from numerous breakthroughs required for meeting various roadmaps for the use of solar power.
