Haverhill, Mass. -- Lightspeed Manufacturing has moved from its old factory in Methuen, Mass., to a new 60,000-square-foot modern light manufacturing facility.
The move was prompted by Lightspeed’s continued growth and the need for more manufacturing space, according to Lightspeed’s President, Rich Breault. Lightspeed signed a long-term lease for a significant portion of the building, which it shares with another company.
In making the announcement, Breault said that, “This move represents a significant milestone in our growth. This modern facility has everything we need, including a great location with proximity to the airports in Boston and Manchester, and we’re only steps away from Interstate 495. We’re planning to double our work force in the near future.”
Lightspeed already has three installed lines of electronic circuit assembly equipment, and specialized cells for BGA services and other specialized manufacturing processes.
"Everything is going to be fully automated," Breault says of plans for Lightspeed’s new Ward Hill industrial park headquarters. "We're going to have the most advanced assembly lines around."
