As IPC show management walked away from Los Angeles last year following IPC Printed Circuits Expo®, APEX® and the Designers Summit, the feeling wasn’t exactly rosy. The industry trade group had worked hard to spin the positives of downtown Los Angeles and the convention center, indicating it had done what it was asked: keep the show in southern California in the first quarter of the year.
Within the electronics manufacturing industry, statistical tools are
commonly used in process development, troubleshooting, and improvement.
Two strategies in use are Six Sigma and the Shainin® system. These
systems use a set of statistical tools and, more importantly, a
strategy for approaching a problem.
