Regional fairs increase opportunities and build on momentum

All over the world, the electronics sector is bursting at its seams. Messe München International provides an easy network for this growing industry in each key region with its Global Electronics network of shows.

electronica, the flagship international trade show for components, assemblies and high-growth applications in the electronics industry, is based in Munich, Germany, and caters to a constantly growing crowd of exhibitors and visitors from around the globe.

Stemming from electronica are: electronicIndia, electronicaChina and Productronica China, electronicAsia, electronicaUSA and electronicAmericas. Each show focuses on its specific region with product ranges that are matched to local market requirements. Breaking up these shows by region allows for optimum market proximity at the global and regional levels. These regional fairs create a unique networking opportunity for companies all around the world to grow their business in a new region.

electronicIndia

With the immense growth of India’s economy — about 7 percent per year — it’s no wonder that electronicIndia is a continuous success. Experts agree that India’s growth trend will continue, and India is positioning itself as the second most powerful region in Southeast Asia. The electronics sector, including technology and telecommunications, is one of the fastest growing sectors of India’s economy — which reinforces the need for a specific electronics tradeshow in this region. Domestic production of electrical components is making every effort to meet international standards, thereby boosting exports in the sector. Rapid advances are also being made in the hardware and software segments, improving quality at the same time.

electronicaChina and ProductronicaChina

China’s economy and its electronics market continue to grow at an amazing rate. Last year, China’s electronics industry alone registered growth of 18 percent. This year, experts expect above-average growth rates in the electronics sector once again — proof that China is well on its way to becoming a major semiconductor manufacturing power. In fact, China’s semiconductor market is expected to double to $22 billion, or 9 percent of the world’s $245 billion total by 2006. The demand for components is rising mostly in the power electronics, mobile communication and display technology sectors.

ProductronicaChina, the international trade fair for production technologies, was created due to increasing demand from development of new production facilities in China. The product spectrum is optimally geared to the market requirements and also benefits from valuable synergies. Together, electronicaChina and ProductronicaChina provide the entire value-added chain of the electronics industry.

electronicAsia

The semiconductor market in Asia Pacific is rapidly expanding and predicted to surpass those of Europe and Japan to become the second-largest semiconductor market after the Americas. With expectations to develop at an annual average rate of more than 5.6 percent between now and 2007, it is truly the world’s fastest growing region and a major manufacturing base for data processing and consumer and communications equipment.

electronicaUSA

electronicaUSA provides access to key electronics companies in the U.S. for distributors and visitors around the globe. It is one of the newer regional tradeshows, and represents the beginning of something new and exiting in the U.S. Organizers of the show already see huge momentum in the U.S., expecting more than a 50 percent increase in exhibitors participation from last year’s show. electronicaUSA provides participants with the unique opportunity to reach key customers and keep up with the latest innovations in the market.

electronicAmericas

Held in Sao Paulo, the economic center of Brazil, this show illustrates how the country’s economy has been completely modernized and adapted to make South America a key player in the international market for the electronics industry. With a population of around 160 million, Brazil is the fifth-largest country on earth. Its positive development in recent years has sustained efforts to open the market to the international business community. Brazil will be a leading economic force over the next millennium and electronicAmericas opens up the opportunity to network in this up-and-coming market.
